Coventry Pond Trail

October 8, 2022 by beelynn7

This out and back trail is located in the Delaware Water Gap, right next to the Millbrook Village.

I did this hike on October, 7 with Xena. It is 1.7 miles and took us 41 minutes to complete.

The trail entrance is gated, basically it looks like an access road, but there is plenty of room to park. It was quiet and secluded; we were the only ones there.

Because it’s a wide path, it’s really easy to take in the beautiful fall foliage.

The grass is long in some places, so if you go in early spring or fall, check for ticks.

There are two small “bridges” toward the beginning of the trail for crossing the stream.

Maple and conifer trees are plentiful here. There were others as well, but I need to get better at my tree identification lol.

Ferns line the trail most of the way, so this would be a good trail to revisit in the spring to look for fiddleheads.

There were also a few mushrooms along the edges of the trail.

At the end of the trail, you are rewarded with a view of the pond, again, very pretty in the fall.
